Burberry came into our rescue program on July 26, 2023. Burberry came into our rescue program from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office along with 28 other horses, 23 cows, and 19 sheep and goats, as a cruelty case. Sadly, 2 of the cows had to be euthanized the day of the seizure. The animals were living in deplorable conditions, not enough land or food to accommodate 71 total animals. On January 25, 2024, in the district court of Lincoln County and the State of Oklahoma having filed its motion regarding the animals, court has awarded the ownership to Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue. Although we do know some of the horse's identities, all horses will be adopted out as grade horses, without registration papers, as the former owner has not released those. Burberry is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. Burberry is estimated to be 1 1/2 years of age, upon arrival into our program. Burberry is thin with a body score of a 4. Bloodwork showed her to be anemic and her fecal shows she was infested with internal parasites. Burberry has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses. Update June 1, 2024 Burberry has gone into training with Dickinson Performance Horses. We hope she will be back in 30 to 60 days, depending on how she does in training. We look forward to updating her adoption status soon.

Update August 2024 Burberry is back from Training and seeking a forever, loving home to call her own. This sweet girl has received close to 60 days of training and is doing great. She will need someone to continue to ride her and keep her going under saddle. She is currently being ridden a few times a week here. Burberry is super sweet, loves attention and will make someone an excellent horse. She stands for the farrier and loads in a trailer. She is ready to go any direction. Burberry is coming a 3-year-old, still on the small side measuring at 14 hands tall. Burberry has a current negative coggins, up to date on vaccinations, deworming, dental and hoof maintenance.
