Phoebe came into our rescue program on August 28, 2023. Phoebe came into our rescue program from the Major County Sheriff's Office along with 18 other horses and 1 very obese pot belly pig, as a cruelty case. Many other animals were seized as well and sent to a local small animal rescue. I am unsure of how many deceased animals were found on the property. Many of the horses had respiratory issues upon arrival. On September 28, 2023, In the District Court of Major County and the State of Oklahoma, having filed its motion regarding the animals pursuant to 21 O.S. 1680.4 and 4 O.S. 512, it is ordered that ownership is transferred to Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue. Phoebe is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. Phoebe is estimated to be 20 years of age upon arrival into our program. Phoebe is emaciated with a body score of a 1. Phoebe has severe rainrot infection on her dorsum. Phoebe's bloodwork was abnormal and shows to be anemic. Phoebe is infested with internal and external parasites. We are afraid that Phoebe may possibly be pregnant and will confirm soon. Phoebe is halter broke and broke to lead. Phoebe has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses. Please consider making a donation towards Phoebe's Rehabilition.
