Tesha came into our rescue program on August 28, 2023. Tesha came into our rescue program from the Major County Sheriff's Office along with 18 other horses and 1 very obese pot belly pig, as a cruelty case. Many other animals were seized as well and sent to a local small animal rescue. I am unsure of how many deceased animals were found on the property. Many of the horses had respiratory issues upon arrival. On September 28, 2023, In the District Court of Major County and the State of Oklahoma, having filed its motion regarding the animals pursuant to 21 O.S. 1680.4 and 4 O.S. 512, it is ordered that ownership is transferred to Blaze's Tribute Equine Rescue. Tesha is a Beautiful, Sorrel, Quarter Horse, Mare. Tesha is estimated to be 7 months of age upon arrival into our program. Tesha is thin with a body score of a 3. Tesha's bloodwork was abnormal and shows to be anemic. Tesha is infested with internal and external parasites. Tesha has bilateral offset knees and severe right front fetlock varus. This sweet girl will only be a companion animal. Tesha is halter broke and broke to lead. Tesha has a long road of recovery ahead of her. We will update as she progresses.
